Every spring there are a few w/w boys who have to be pulled out of the hole that develops in the Spokane River just west of the Idaho/Washington border. In fact, it's become quite the thing to stand on the shore with one's throwing rope at the ready. I don't mind a challenge... but a smackdown is no fun.
