[Paddlewise] Epic Circumnav

Kayakers,

There's some interesting news about Freya H. from Germany. She's planning a one-year circumnav of Australia. She's abandoned her Explorer for the Epic 18, Epic being one of her sponsors. I was a bit concerned about an Epic being used on an expedition, until I read:

"Theybll create a special strong expedition layup, and an improved rudder for even better rough water surf control and rough launchings and landings."

That tells me the kayak wasn't built strong enough for touring in the first place.
