[Paddlewise] Paddling near Fairbanks, Alaska?

I'm planning to visit some relatives in Fairbanks, Alaska this summer 
and am wondering if there are any paddlewisers out there with experience 
paddling in the area/region. I've found some info in a whitewater 
guidebook but little else. I'm wondering if anyone has done any 
multi-day camping trips in touring boats up there.
