The local news said he was experienced and wearing a wet suit.... I also saw some coast guard footage and it showed the boat with the paddle under the bungee.????? I am not sure I understand how that could happen. I have paddled to the Isles a couple of times during perfect conditions. The nearest landfall from the isles is almost 7 miles. A large crossing to do alone in any season.
