When I did a trip to the Thormanby Islands last summer, we launched from the government dock at Half Moon Bay, and parked our car for free a few hundred feet down the access road to it. Visible in the lower right hand corner here: http://www.bigpacific.com/global/images/maps/Halfmoon%20B-06.jpg Another possibility would be to pay for lauching (and possibly parking) at Secret Cove Marina http://www.secretcovemarina.com/ Happy paddling! We can't seem to find info on the best launch spot for setting up a base camp at Smuggler's cove. Any advice or suggestions are welcome.
