[Paddlewise] Your eye on the water

Saturday a tugboat on the north end of Lake Washington sank, spilling  
about 50 gallons of fuel. There were not too many details about it  
and it wasn't until today that I could go check it out (since this is  
where I often paddle anyway). Yesterday they had already floated it,  
so there wasn't much to see. Nevertheless, here is a picture:

I don't know that 50 gal. of fuel would have been noticed in this  
little harbor. A lot of harbors are somewhat of a green nightmare:

And while I am in show and tell mode, let me say that there is  
something inherently wrong about spending money to put a string and a  
float on glasses. Quick & dirty works!
