Is he/she okay? Need some balance in the environmental reporting around here! Mark, I think you might wanna reconsider a better song next time, especially if you go for a bigger swell at the Bar: Tom Waits "Way down in the hole." :-) DL > I've been expeting a bit of pain on my last couple visits to BAR, but > still remain unscathed. > It's a long download for the high res version: > > http://www.sandmarks.net/video/LongWayHome.wmv > > > Here's the quicker YouTube version: > > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCTi23AWppY&feature=channel_page > > Mark *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). Wow. That was gorgeous and it looked like so much fun. Was that roll at 2:40 practice? Steve >> I've been expeting a bit of pain on my last couple visits to BAR, but >> still remain unscathed. Steve, No that was "fer reels"!! After I made it over the second wave, I thought I was good, but what you can't tell is I got sucked back against the rocks by the ebb. I was doing alright until it spit me out and I went over. I'm glad I had my roly boat. Mark ---- Steve Cramer <cramersec_at_charter.net> wrote: > Wow. Great video Mark! That arch looks like a lot of fun. By the way...the boat you are paddling - is that a WS Zephyr 16? I just bought one of those myself and am very impressed with it as a play boat for normal sized people like you and I (you know - over 200 lbs). Mark, No, it a WS Tempest 170. Much more fun than my QCC, although quite a bit slower. It handles the rough stuff much better and rolling it is ten times easier. Ibm a bit big for the 170, but only plan to use it for day paddles, so I wanted something a bit low volume for me. Glad you liked my video.
