It is a common typo.

VHF is the radio, be it handheld or mounted, waterproof or not.  VHS is the
video tape format (you might find a VHS video tape that you can watch to
learn how to use your VHF marine radio).

Google "VHS radio" and you will find a whack of radios advertised as VHS
radios, but if you go back to the various manufacturers' sites, you will
find that they are in fact VHF radios.
