I have noticed that since my childhook (shortly after the Civil War) there are many fewer birds in the sky. I now live in a major flyway so that Spring and Fall bring many more birds through here but the rest of the time it really seems that the sky is empty of birds. Maybe in balance there are lots more eagles, herons, hawks, and seagulls but the sheer numbers of small birds that used to litteraly darken the sky seem to be missing. So I just wanted to send you a personal thanks for rescuing this one. And for being an active rescuer. Not to mention the good story. :) Craig Jungers Moses Lake, WA www.nwkayaking.net *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
