I had to smile at the dogs in the canoe. Reminded me of when Sue and I lived at one end of a lake and her parents at the other. We would load the kids and dogs into the canoe and paddle down for a visit. The dogs were always convinced that the most interesting stuff was on the opposite side of the canoe and were forever moving back and forth. Up here, since we wear drysuits a lot, the rain is often welcome as a cool-down feature. We aren't going to get wet from it, after all. I know it's much different among the t-shirt paddling crowd. Nice mission, too. Sue and I will be in s. cal just before Christmas and I hope to see a few of the missions there that I've missed. These warm-water paddling stories keep some of us going during the winter. :) Craig Jungers Moses Lake, WA www.nwkayaking.net *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
