G'Day All, A few months ago I asked for advice on prescription sunglasses for kayaking and received heaps of responses. I eventually went to an optician who suggested that as well as the near vision correction I should get the long vision adjusted for astigmatism. The long and the short of it is I ordered a pair of non polarised bifocals for about $100, its my experience that one only ever loses or damages expensive specs, the cheap ones lead a charmed life. and they are marvellous. Not only can I again see the VHF radio, the map and the GPS but I can also see waves on the horizon, birds, fish and look forward to seeing a whale without running into it, as happened a few years ago. And I'll swear my rolling has improved:~) Many thanks for all your advice and a happy new year to all you Paddlewisers. All the best, PeterO *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
