Normally I cross-country ski in the winter but this winter it takes a 3-hour drive to get to snow that's deep enough to ski on so I'm making do with ice skating at the local rink. It is *much* harder on my muscles to ice skate (and stay upright) than it is to x/c ski so I don't get as much out of the sessions. And I have to say that paddling on 34F water is not as much fun - even dressed for it - as paddling on 70F water. Maybe it's just me.
