I have noticed that the market for used kayaks in the Vancouver/Victoria area (or maybe all of BC and even Canada, for all I know) is priced higher than it is in the USA. I've even seen paddlers in BC talk about shopping for used kayaks on the Seattle craigslist to find a boat at a better price. Still... even so... something brand new with a decent spray deck and a good paddle plus the built-in pump and compass might make it a decent deal for someone who likes Nordies.
