So the answer is, as good as is reasonably possible for a reasonable price. Adding a way to imput the output from a knotmeter to the data from the paddle might be all that was needed but if the paddle could figure out how fast its linear speed was in the direction the kayak is moving over several strokes and match that up with the energy the paddle applied to the water in the opposite direction (for long enough intervals to know the speed wasn't the result of previous greater or lesser energy expenditure) that should be useable to know how much drag the kayak has at any given speed. Multiple runs at different speeds should result in enough data points to derive a continious cur
