Yesterday I launched a new canoe. Being primarily a kayaker, this one
will take some getting used to. It was taken from the Morris book
"Building Sink-on-Frame Boats" and is called the "Upper Yukon River
Canoe".

I know it was a typo -- it *was* a typo, wasn't it? -- but I got quite
the chuckle out of "...*sink*-on-frame..."

I don't know why you'd need a book for that. I'd think that almost any
idiot could build a boat that sinks. I know I could, and I'm not just
*any* idiot <grins toothlessly, but proudly>

Ha! That was one of my best typos. Or maybe it was a Freudian slip...?
