I'd like to second that. It's been a while since we've had a good technical
discussion here on Paddlewise and it was nice to look at this with a fresh
eye.

I didn't try to emulate Niels' stroke but I have to say that my impression
was that this was not designed to make us paddle faster. Niels said many
times that he paddles just over 3 kts which would be a slow pace to many of
us who routinely paddle at 4 or 4.5 kts.

My thanks, also, for a fresh look at the forward paddle stroke.
