Some friends and I launched from Cabrillo Beach Sunday for a short boat day. The swell was mostly small, but there was some big stuff breaking closer to Pt. Fermin. Now mind you, when I say big stuff, I mean big when considered we're in tiny boats with pointy rocks jutting out all over the place! Still, we took what came in stride. I'd been here a few weeks earlier with Jack and Debra, but the tide was a tad higher today, which changed things quite considerably. Not for the good or bad, just for the different! The swell started picking up as we went along, so we had enough movement to have fun. So fun was had by all and we made plans to be just as undecided about a paddle next week as we were this. There's always a river with Jack's name on it this time of year, so he finds it hard to commit!
