Today broke my streak of paddling every day this year, but I'll try not to let it discourage me! About eight of us paddled yesterday in sunny skies in strange contrast to the pea soup fog that was blanketing the inlands. I abandoned the group at Toxic Creek Beach to surf in the nicely formed gentle waves. Gentle though they may be, I enjoyed a mild window shading in the shallows. I landed for a while to wait for the others to return. My main interest was to give my new camera a try, so I wasn't very adventurous. The new camera is bulky, so it will take some getting used to. Water temp was 58, our only real concession to winter. Just nice to be on the water. http://www.sandmarks.net/NYD2012/NYD20121.html Mark Sanders www.sandmarks.net # *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
