I personally have greatly missed the paddling reports from those south of the equator. As the list admin I get bounces when mail servers are set up to bounce email that isn't deliverable. Servers that are set up to black hole email result in no information to me of what succeeded or failed. I've gotten no bounces from Peter or Paul's mail server, so I haven't had any visibility into failures.
