Hi Natalie, The price is certainly right even if the range (1/4 mile) is not so hot. They would be great for keeping track of other paddlers in a group night situation though. The downside being that they are disposable which implies that they are one-use. Of course, not many of us paddle more than a couple of times a year at night. Kind of a cool web site though. As far as SUP goes, I've never been tempted. I have enough trouble sitting in a kayak. But my walking is not all that great (and not getting any better either).
