Re: [Paddlewise] Sea Kayaker closing

Hi Chris,

I know I speak for many when I say we are truly going to miss Sea Kayaker magazine and we are very sad to see it go.  

We are grateful to Kirk Olsen who took over administrative duties of PaddleWise for several years and who recently handed those duties back to us.  We are looking at offering PaddleWise on Facebook so that members can post their stories along with photos.  It has been one of the major downsides of this type of forum... the inability to mail photos and have them reach PaddleWise users.  Email filters can be brutal on a list such as PaddleWise.  And having recently taken back responsibilities, we have seen that the filtering has become even more difficult to work around.  Bob is working on it, though.    

Several of us were wondering if you would be archiving Sea Kayaker as Rich mentioned since Sea Kayaker is such a valuable resource of paddling information over many many years.  We so hope you do :)  

Thank you for producing such a world-class, wonderful sea kayaking magazine so many of us enjoyed and gained a great deal of knowledge and thank you for your support of PaddleWise over the years.

p.s  How can folks get on your list for the final issue?  Can those who were not subscribed find it at the magazine stands or purchase it directly from Sea Kayaker?
