I agree with Dave - FB would be quite cumbersome.  I like Dave's ideas of
how to evolve the whole listserv.

There are also other ways to do this- i.e. having a "Forum" with discussion
topics that you can subscribe to if you want. That way, you only look at
the link to the subjects you are interested in. This works quite well on a
site that I use  (that has nothing to do with paddling- Ornithology
Exchange. http://ornithologyexchange.org/ ) .  That way you do not have a
huge chain of emails with  the cumbersome list of all previous emails. You
just have a sequential list of comments on each topic and you can choose to
comment or not.

If anybody wants, I can find out how to do that.
