The Nikonos is Point and Shoot. It has a small view finder. They make a
"sports finder" that mounts on the body. YOu use if for framing. I
haven't had much luck with them over using the optical on the camera.

The lenses are exchangable. Hoever, the "viewfinder" does not use "through
the lens" opticals. Therefor, just because it has exchangble lenses, it is
not SLR. The SLR's use a view finder that is "through the lens."
Supposedly, with the SLR, what you see through the view finder is "what you
get." The Nikonos is pretty accurate.

Nikon sells the Nikonos and you can pick up some used ones at the used
camera shops. Southern Nikonos may sell some used Nikonos cameras.
