Does anyone have any experience with Palm's paddling jackets. They claim to have a waterproof yet breathable "hydrophilic" coating. Are they as breathable as gore-tex? Price levels seem to be nearly half that of gore-tex, would be nice to think that it works as well. I have always been curious whether or not gore-tex price levels were artifiicially higher because there is no equal, or whether it actually is an expensive process to control.
