Wow, two people from UpNorth I have to agree to in one day! 8-) Whats
happening to the world! 8-)

When I had my close encounter with the boater from NY, I had was steaming but I
was literally shaking my head and just going to go on by. The operator opened
his mouth and said something to me so I gave him both barrels. Verbally that
is. If he had reacted in any aggressive manner or if I had thought he was under
the influence I would have pulled around the point and landed my kayak and found
a ranger to handle things. As it was, he understood his mistake and I continued
on my 20 mile trip. I was very very very observant of all boat traffic for the
rest of the day. Especially for a white runabout with NY registration with two
couples on board! 8-)

While I hate jetskis with a passion, I did have two jetskis actually slow down
to wake speed well away from my wife and I once upon a time. It was a
deliberate act of kindness on their part and we both could not believe it. I
wanted to thank them but by the time we come to our senses as to what they had
done the jetskis had passed as by!

To point a paintball gun or lord help you shoot at someone is asking for lots of
trouble. At a minimum it is going to be assault. You state laws are going to
very in severity. Since paintball guns are g u n s, the pointed at person may
assume the worse and shoot before you do with something that packs more sting
than a paintball. Even throwing something at a jetskier is assault. At least
in North Carolina and Florida.
