>I would appreciate advice on how go about fixing my torn latex neck gasket on >my Kokotat Meridian Dray suit. One piece of advice I've been given is to "get >used to it, it will happen a lot." If this is the case, I have also been >advised to replace the latex neck gasket with a neoprene neck gasket. Is this advisable? No, it doesn't happen a lot. I've replaced mine only once in 8 years. I do spray it with 303 rather than a silicone spray after used, and put it on over my head pretty carefully so I don't nick it. Repair? If it's an emergency I use a piece of good latex (no crack marks) from an old gasket I replaced, gluing it on with AquaSeal/Cotol. A bicycle tube repair kit will work if the hole is small. If it's a real tear, starting at the edge, Replace it. period. This kind of tear will always expand itself. It's your safety that's ultimately in question. The neoprene gaskets are relatively new. Never had experience with 'em & don't know anyone yet who has....
