In a message dated 99-06-07 01:53:59 EDT, you write, regaaarding a ruptured latex neck gasket: << One piece of advice I've been given is to "get used to it, it will happen a lot." >> No, it won't necessarily happen a lot. Use the 303 protectant frequently (once a month or more often) during those months in which you use the drysuit, and at least every 3 months even if you don't use the suit. Then take some care in how you put the suit on and off. A neck gasket can last for years with proper care. Eventually they may need replacement. I would only replace my latex neck gasket if I reconciled myself to getting cold water down my neck when practicing rolls, etc etc. Not much water gets in, but a neoprene "gasket" is **not** a dry seal.
