I've had my Ascente for 4 or 5 years and have finally decided that the entire seating arrangement needs to be reconfigured (some folks find me patient to a fault). The seat/paddlefloat cushion is a neat idea, but doesn't really give a lot of comfort or good fit so a new minicell seat is planned (if I can find some minicell here in Juneau). I'm removing the seat back (too tall) and replacing it with a simple back band. Some custom thigh pads should round things out. I'm fairly small (5'7" and 150lbs) and the Ascente cockpit never seemed to fit quite right. Hopefully the refit will take care of some of the similar discomfort that I've experienced also. Will post results when the project is completed. Dave Seng Juneau, Alaska > -----Original Message----- > From: Grant A.
