I can't remember who posted asking about the paddleboy HL cart. I just
bought one this past weekend and haven't used it much, but here are my
initial observations:

1) Mine didn't come with straps. I'm not sure if they have a version with
straps or not. I've been using the straps I tie down the kayak to my roof
rack, but still, at $150 it should come with straps.

2) It breaks down very easily. In fact, if you don't bang it together a
little it comes apart a little too easily. It comes with a strap to cause a
little friction in the metal joints to hold it together. With the strap it
stays together nicely.

3) It fits very easily in a hatch.

4) The kickstand is functional, but I've seen better designs.

5) If you get this type of cart, forget about locking it to a tree. You have
to take it with you or lock it in your car. The thing is too easy to
disassemble to try locking it to anything at the launch site. This isn't a
negative point, as the whole purpose of this cart is it will tear down and
fit in your hatch. I suppose you could run a cable through the tubes, but
you would have to disassemble it first.

6) It rolls very easily loaded. Like all carts in this category it rolls
much easier than the small skinny wheel carts. It is designed to go in the
center of the kayak/canoe which makes it easier to tote than with stern
mounted wheels. Carts this large normally can't be packed into a hatch
easily, which is the great advantage of this cart.

This review may sound overly negative, but I want to emphasize I really like
the cart. Add straps and improve the kickstand and I think it can't be beat.
If you want something to fit in your hatch AND need a heavy duty cart, it's
the best I've seen.
