[Paddlewise] Pants for cold-water/cold weather portaging and lineing?

Can anyone recommend a source and brand of medium weight wool pants?
I Have tried Cabela's/Campmor/REI.unfortunately "Cotton is King" right now,
and the only men's wool pants I have found are Woolrich or Malone.. which
are 32oz weight wool.better suited to Winter hunting than my intended use.

I need to find something that I can wade in knee to waist deep water while
canoeing (lining shallow rocky river stretches) where I will be in & out of
the boat constantly, in cold water, and cool air temps, and possibly windy
weather. Last year I wore cotton blue jeans for this task! Never again!
Fleece (poly) pants just get to heavy and movement restricting in the water.
My GoreTex wind pants aren't very suitable either, getting too heavy and
hot on strenuous portages when wet. I need something that provides warmth
when dry, warmth when wet, dries quickly without too much "evaporative
cooling". Really need something I can "live-in" for 7 weeks, rather than a
specialty garment.

A website that I can order from online would be nice too!

I AM asking a lot, huh?

Thanks,
Rich Dempsey
