The point I was making is that there is a very sound cost differential. Granted, Sedas are a lot cheaper than most glass boats, where the typical cost is about $2,500. I wish I could afford the cost of a top of the like kayak like a Mariner -- which, by the time I could travel to the west coast to try one on, then have it shipped here, would probably come to well over $3000 -- but simply, if I were to tell the wife that I was going to spend $3000 for a kayak, or even $2000, well, she'd have a fit. She had enough of one for less than $1000. As much as I enjoy kayaking, I just can't justify the up-front cost for that much boat. Again, sorry if I offended. -- Wes *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Mon Dec 06 1999 - 17:20:16 PST
