I have been using cloth tape to protect the sharply rounded keel in the bow and stern of my yak from getting dinged up. I was considering some automotive protective stripping (held on with that supposedly removable 3M cement), or perhaps some inner tube or PVC repair patch material. Even a few layers of Aquaseal.
