I'm starting to think this is the idle banter of cabin fevered
Paddlewisenheimers. How many in this group actually push even the lightest
of lay-ups to it's limit? VERY few I suspect! (I'm not talking about
dropping the boat off a van roof).

Another question: Can the British vacuum bag the head of a pin??

And this is precisly where the lighter layup can be an advantage. I
presume that a lot of damage is caused by rough or inconsiderate
handling nto and from the water, a lighter boat would have a better
chance of bouncing.

Yeah, and those of us in the ice and snow country have got a bit more of
it to look forward to (not that the snow around here has managed to stay
on the ground).

So, while we're waiting . . .

Are there any Paddleweisenheimers in southern Michigan, northwest Ohio,
or northern Indiana that would be interested in getting together some place
some Saturday while things are still iced up for coffee, lies and mutual
shoulders to cry on? It'd be fun to meet some of this gang IRL. Lurkers
would be welcome.
