And George also knows that not every student diligently applies and uses
correctly (in context) what they were "taught."  George does a hell of a job in
his courses, as two of my paddling buddies will forswear -- his drilling of the
"T" rescue saved them from an uncomfortable (and maybe life-threatening)
experience last summer.

George does good work.  Not everybody absorbs the learning fully.  And
sometimes every one of us forgets what "we should do."  I do, you (all) do. 
The two kayakers are probably better paddlers for their "experience."
