She is one I will continue to paddle in the future, frequently. I now have a Gulfstream but I was so spoiled by the stability of the Breeze that leaning to paddle the Gulfie. Do NOT count on the bulkheads in a plastic boat for flotation. Put bags in the hatches. So far I've never had any problem with the flotation bags in my boat. Her failing is that she isn't longer but I have been able to do a nice pace in her and almost keep up with the 16-18 foot guys. I kind of doubt you can do that with the Carolina. They are a bit flatter and, though longer, don't seem to track as well. Everyone who has communicated to be about the Breeze has told me how lucky I was to have this as my first boat. The Carolina I have never paddled but it looks much more like a recreational boat with a flatter hull and not nearly the ability to edge a turn. I've seen the boat but can't speak from experience. I can only tell you the Breeze edges well and I learned to roll in her. You may find her a bit bigger than the Carolina but I'm not sure about that. It just looks that way. If you have any questions, I'd be delighted to answer them. CD has put out a new plastic boat that is a longer version of the Breeze. The glass version is the Pachena <sp?> I didn't learn with a rudder so I don't know how she'd be with one but there is a tendency to weathercock but not bad enough for me to think about putting one her and i've paddled her in up to about 30 knot winds on the Chesapeake Bay.
