Well, the big show is this weekend. I hope all can make it. If any
more paddlewisers are planning to attend - a small group of us has reached
general consensus on a meeting place: in the concession area around 1:00
at one of the tables.
I will be carrying a bright red Pangea attache thing and probably
eating a hamburger. with mustard.
Really though, I needed something to haul away all the brochures,
product info and stickers I know I will accumulate. And, I figure that
looking for a bright red bag will be easier than
giving the "paddlewise secret-handshake" to all the people there. BTW,
everyone knows the secret handshake, right? If you haven't been shown the
secret handshake, there is probably a good reason that you ought to think
about.
My BS level is rising, I better go and channel it into something
creative.
    See you at canoecopia!

1:00 what day? I'll be there Saturday, (maybe Sunday too if I can convince
my wife that 4 more hours of Canoecopia beats the Mall).

I'll be carrying an orange daypack, for the same reason.

Several years ago I arranged a get-together of folk from the NYCkayaker
to visit the Greenland kayak exhibit at the American Natural History
Museum and follow up with pizza and the Nanook of the North video at my
home. About 20 or 30 showed up.

Some who were coming know me but a lot didn't. To make things easy I
said I would be carrying an anchor. A number of them were really
looking forward to seeing someone walking around Manhattan with an
anchor but were disappointed when they saw it. What I had was the small
4-inch high styrofoam anchor that hangs by a key chain around the neck
of a gallon bottle of Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum. I wasn't
disappointed...I had all that rum!!!

I will try to be there, too. I will be attached to a wiry 12-year boy.
