Dave,

A new house and the garage door is too low - I think it's time to find a new
garage or at least raise the roof a bit <g>

IT sounds like it's time for the first remodel of the new hom, maybe a steel
header for the door?

Have fun - Saul

Subject: [Paddlewise] Blew It: Stringing Yaks Up in the Garage

I admired Bob Hancock's pulley system for stringing up his yaks, so much,
that
when we moved into a new house this last week, one of my first acts was to
similarly emplace my fleet. Bob was cagier, though: he put his over the
spots
where his vehicles run. Because he has short vehicles (Subaru SW's, I
think),
he can lower the yaks onto roofracks, lash 'em on, and go.

I can't do that because my main yak-hauler is too tall for the yaks to
squeeze
under a 7-foot garage door rim. ...
