Usually, you can pick up monthly tide tables (without current tables or
local area adjustments) just about anywhere.  Even gas stations often
have little monthly basic tide tables that are free.  If you're
planning to paddle for a few weeks, in various areas in and around
puget sound, getting the complete Island Canoe Tables is really the
best idea.

I guess that depends on where you'll be exactly, and if any outfitters
or marine/nautical bookstores in the area sell them, etc.

http://www.nwoc.com  1-800-683-0637 (Northwest Outdoor Center - in
Seattle) carries them.  I'm sure you could order one from them.

It won't hurt to have one of these, as, once you've experienced the
paddling in Puget Sound and the San Juans, you'll be wanting to return
anyway - probably before the current edition expires anyway.
