Ok, its not a kayak, but its still a small paddle (oar) driven boat. Has anyone had a chance to use Pygmy's "wine glass wherry" or other similar small rowing boats? Opinions? http://www.pygmyboats.com/wgwspecs.htm I've built kayaks from Pygmy, so I'm comfortable with the construction details, just trying to decide if its worth adding this boat to the collection. Figuring using it mostly for family outings with a toddler, until she is old enough to be in her own kayak, then base camp, or extra stuff storage in the wherry along with kayaking. Also thinking about rigging it as a small sailboat. thanks dave *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
No, but I'm curious about the boat myself. The significant other and I are planning a trip to Seattle around July 4 and a visit to Pygmy is on the agenda. My focus is on several of the kayaks. If there's time I'd love to give the wherry a try. Drop me a line during the second week of July.
