While we're at it, Alaskan mosquitoes and water are the worst. The water is clouded with glacial silt and is cold enough to kill you in 20 minutes. Two mosquitoes once carried me away into the woods. They were arguing whether to eat me on the spot or to carry me farther into the woods before the BIG mosquitoes stole me from them, and I escaped during their argument.
