> as to kayaking stories, my best friend and i went out kayaking this > summer in cobscook bay. [ ] Welcome, weebee. I hope to paddle Cobscook Bay next year -- had wanted to this year but didn't get to it. Did you get up as far as the reversing falls? I hear it can be quite tricky except at slack tide... I paddle mostly in the mid-coast area, around Camden/Rockport (where I spend summers), and inland waters, as well as the NY area (where I live). (I used to summer on MDI and have paddled around the Acadia area, as well). There's a number of Mainers here on the list. In addition to the coastal paddling, I've paddled a few Maine lakes, bogs and ponds, and have loved it. Hope to do many more of them. What are some of your favorites places in Maine? Are you familiar with the Maine Island Trail Association?
