One thing I like about my North Face tent is that it comes with an optional
overhead "loft" that is triangular in shape, and netted. It is a great place to
dry out stuff, etc., and doesn't impede too badly up high in the dome. I also
like my "footprint" propriety tent ground sheet that fits perfectly under the
tent. I back it up with a "real" space blanket if the terrain is poor or sharp. I
also use the space blanket for loading the kayak from muddy or sandy terrain. If
you paddle in cold, wet climates, be sure whatever fastening devices/buckles,
etc., are easy to use. This sort of problem is not apparent in the showroom.

Last call, eh? So when do you want to go for a beer? (Canadian of course, and
yes, I will bore you to death with tales of big waves (as opposed to Malissa with
big whales :-) )..
