I led a Thanksgivng trip for 8 down a 38 mile stretch of the Neches River through the Big Thicket National
Preserve for Thanksgiving. We started about 1:30 on Thanksgivng day. I catered Thanksgiving dinner and
also Friday night's supper. We had so much food we decided to eat one pie before we launched. Then we
couldn't hold the other until Friday noon. We also had to all eat leftover turkey plus fresh cranberry
relish sandwiches for lunch on Friday to get the turkey gone. However we all managed to fit in our boats,
even the morning after chili and bread pudding with bourbon sauce.
