Phil, I have a K-1 2000 model too. I suggest clamping to the back cross
frame. Put a pad on the bottom so you don't cut the hull and use either C
clamp or a plastic clamp used for gluing wood. Some of them are very strong
and won't rust. A piece of PVC should work to hold the rod. I haven't
tried this, but that is about the only non-destructive approach I can think
of that fits the philosophy of a foldable. You probably would need 2
clamps. With it at the back frame behind the seat, you wouldn't get your
legs involved if you capsize (unlikely in F-1 but with a big fish.........!)

Good luck. Ralph may have some suggestions since he hears from so many
people. Someone may have done this.

Subject: [Paddlewise] Feathercraft K1

I have a feathercraft K-1 2000 model and I am wondering if anyone has
found a way to attach a fishing rod holder to it? I like to troll for
lake trout with a dipsy diver, and need a rod holder attachment that can
hold 10-15# of sideways and downward force. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Ok will any of you US kayakers fit in your kayak yet after the big
Thanksgiving dinner you ate or are you going to have to wait a while longer
to fit?

Can't speak for some of the more southern of the brethren, but around here
everything's turning to ice, so it probably won't matter for a while.
