I've used Velcro to attack seats in three of my boats. With the first two, I started out with the pre-glued Velcro. After two or three changes of seat position, the Velcro came off the bottom of the boats. I switched to gluing the Velcro in with contact cement (at least two coats on both surfaces) and those Velcro pieces have held up well, the "oldest" one now in place more than three years. Maybe I just got an especially bad batch of pre-glued Velcro. Oh BTW - I do a LOT of rolling practice and rescue practice. So those seats get tested. - Bill Hansen *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
