[Paddlewise] 3M 5200 for ferrule glue?

I have a wooden paddle I'm replacing the carbon-fiber/glass ferrules on.
The original ferrules came off because either the joint was glue-starved
or the adhesive used was too brittle.

I was considering what adhesive to use- maybe polyurethane, like Gorilla
Glue?- when I spied a tube of 3M 5200 in the shop. Good bulk filling
properties, flexible and tough as all get out. Seems like a good choice.
Anyone have experience with 5200 in this use?
