Re: [Paddlewise] Rack Fairings: Use 'em or Lose 'em?

When I used to head out on the west coast road into the teeth of a gale,
my old little import barely made it up some of the hills against the
wind. I finally got a fairing and it made a noticeable difference.

As an aside, I recently got some Windjammers for my new van, to put on
the 10-inches that stick out the side of the roof rack towers. They are
a foil shaped wing, supposed to lend aerodynamics and cut down wind.
They look kinda cool, but have made no noticeable difference to noise,
etc. (made a difference to my pocket-book, however).
