I just picked up a Thule rack at the New England Paddlesports show yesterday. I had planned on getting the entire rack including a fairing (I thought it made sense... I have a little 4 cylinder Honda CRV and the drag will be significant). The Thule guy told me they don't recommend the Fairing with kayak racks as the up lift increases the lifting force on the kayaks. I didn't get the fairing. What are your esteemed thoughts on fairings?
