Oilcanning is a definite disadvantage of plastic boats. Once they bend in <oilcan> it is hard to get them to pop back out. A large amount of heat < hot enough to hold your hand on but not enough to melt the boat> on and around the oilcanned area will soften the plastic and then it can be pushed back out to it's original shape. This can be the summer sun in a warm enviro, a hair dryer, hot water, heat lamp, etcThen a foam block or other support will hold the hull shape while the plastic cools. Whether it stays put or not is anyone's guess. Good Luck.
