Florida area.  Any advice would be of great help.

Well 
what kind of paddling are you interested in, we have ocean, inlet,
saltwater marsh and creeks, St. Johns River, 15 or so trubutaries of it,
swamp, smaller rivers or lakes. Take your pick. Will you have a kayak or do
you need to rent?
